Lithgow City Council provides a Green Waste collection service several times per year for all residents in the area who currently receive a Domestic Waste and Recycling Service.
The 2018-19 Green Waste Collections will be provided on the following dates
- Monday 2nd December 2019
Conditions of Use
- Cleanups are operated on a service by request basis. Residents who require material to be collected need to register with Council before 12pm on the Friday prior to the cleanup.
- Residents can register via Council’s website or alternatively phone Council on 02 6354 9999.
- After registering, please place the material at the kerbside where you normally leave your garbage bin by the Sunday prior to the allocated collection week.
- Material left for collection will be removed on either the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday following the collection date.
Acceptable Items
- Garden prunings, no longer than 2 metres, not thicker than 200mm and tied in bundles.
- Lawn clippings and leaves must be placed in a durable container, cardboard box or hessian / plastic bag.
- Weight limit of 16 kilograms for each bundle or box.
- Quantity of 1 cubic metre (about 4 wheelie bins) for each collection.
